Liz Sexe is a dance educator, performer and choreographer/artistic director of Liz Sexe Dance. As a performer, she is described as a “clean and efficient mover,” and having “toughness under her grace.” In her processes, tasks inspire poetic movement, game theory finds logical, yet often unexpected phrasing, and athletic dancing is paired with deep intentionality. Her choreographic work has been featured at the World Dance Alliance Festival in Honolulu, Hawaii, Danceworks in Milwaukee, WI, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she was an artist in residence in 2014 and “The Bubbler” at the Madison Public Library where she was the artist in residences in the summer of 2018. In the Spring of 2018, Sexe set her first work on Kanopy 2. She is so grateful for the opportunity to work with the talented dancers of Kanopy Dance Company.
