Kanopy Dance Company Postpones The Far Out Prophecies of Nostradamus, at the Overture Center for the Arts: The April 17-19, 2020 Run is to be Rescheduled late Spring
Classes at the Kanopy Academy of Dance (Kanopy’s school of dance) Suspended Immediately until April 6 (depending on changing conditions)
With the serious threat of the coronavirus pandemic and in the best interest of protecting our patrons, artists, Kanopy families and the larger community, we are joining our arts colleagues here and across the country in cancelling our April 17-19, 2020 run of The Far Out Prophecies of Nostradamus (Nostradamus), a wildly creative collaboration with Madison’s energetic, pick-up theater company, Are We Delicious?
Kanopy Dance is in the process of rescheduling Nostradamus in either mid-May or June 2020, with officials at the Overture Center for the Arts.
Kanopy Dance Academy to Suspend Classes Immediately until April 6, 2020
As is our protocol, Kanopy Dance Company will be following the guidelines of public health officials and the Madison Public Schools and suspending all of our classes at the Kanopy Academy of Dance immediately until at least Monday, April 6, 2020, contingent on changing conditions.
While we are disappointed to make this decision, cancelling our 40 weekly class sessions, the health and safety of our students/families, teacher/dancers and our community are our first priority. We will extend our school year/spring quarter out to May 30, 2020.
We will also continue to monitor the impact of the coronavirus with our local, state and federal health authorities on an ongoing basis in this rapidly changing environment, and are fully committed to following their recommendations and guidelines in determining when to safely resume classes at the Kanopy Dance Academy.
