With your desire and dedication, our talented dance instructors guide you to the farthest horizons of which you are capable. Our teachers know what it takes to perform on stages nation-wide and if you’re willing, they’ll lead you! Creativity and technical excellence infuse our modern dance techniques (Graham, Hawkins, Limon and Horton-based). We teach ballet, pointe, repertory, improvisation, physical theatre, choreography, world dance (Flamenco, African, and more), jazz, tap, and hip hop.

Student-created choreography and creative problem solving in our curriculum yields life-long dance training benefits. Our respected faculty possess extensive professional experience and dedication to teaching this art form. Students’ natural abilities in organizing and expressing their creative ideas are highlighted in our curriculum. Kanopy students gain a sense of self-worth and achievement and share in the sheer pleasure and physicality of dance.

Guest Artist Master Workshops bring wonderful opportunity for students to study intensively in a particular form of dance or physical theatre.
